Dr. Uday Devgan, host of Cataract Coach, is an American physician recognized as a world authority in cataract and refractive surgery who has built a reputation as a medical educator and accomplished clinician. 

Dr. Kang emphasized the latest refractive procedures (SMILE and PresbyMax) and the vision improvement and stability that patients are experiencing with them. He shared his clinical experience with cataract surgery for patients in their 50s and 60s and older, where he uses refractive multifocal IOLs rather than diffractive ones to provide natural vision that meets patient expectations.

Dr. David Kang explained that SMILE, which accounts for 80 to 90 percent of his myopia correction surgeries, incorporates PLASMA technology to smooth the corneal surface and reduce high corneal aberrations. Dr. David Kang said Plasma Smile has been lowering and lowering the pulse energy of the laser to achieve zero OBL.
